Where can one buy rock salt for making ice cream at this time of year?
The local grocery stores should all carry rock salt, Safeway, Albertsons, Piggly Wiggly, also local hardware stores. It is not a seasonal salt and is sold year round! The salt you buy for a water softener (called Solar Salt) works also. Another place you can purchase rock salt is at a pool supply store.
