Where can National Organizations find additional information on the entire Communities Putting Prevention to Work program to ensure a proposed workplan aligns with the broader initiative?
http://www.cdc.gov/chronicdisease/recovery/index.htm National Organizations are required to provide expert guidance and resources to communities funded as part of the CDC component of Communities Putting Prevention to Work. How can the National Organization find out which communities are receiving support to help align a proposed workplan? The National Organizations proposed workplan should focus on highlighting demonstrated expertise of the organizations in a minimum of three MAPPS strategies. Additionally the applicant is required to have networks and systems in five of the ten HHS regions. ASH will “match-up” the funded National Organizations and the CDC-funded communities. Although CDC will be announcing their funded communities in the near future, National Organization applicants should not directly contact the communities. National Organizations that are able to demonstrate additional leveraged support from other public and private organizations receive points in the application
