Where Can I Undertake Training to Become an Electrician in Pennsylvania (PA)?
Comprised of four campuses and six neighborhood centers, the Community College of Allegheny County is the largest educational institution in western Pennsylvania. For students interesting in becoming electricians, the college offers an electrical construction technology apprenticeship through its main campus. A 5-year Associate of Science program is offered in conjunction with the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. The program provides general secondary education as well as hands-on electrical training and on-the-job experience. Graduates receive certification that allows them to work in residential, commercial and industrial construction as a skilled journeyman.
