Where can i sell new and used prom and evening dresses?
You could try to sell online at sites like ebay, etc, but my personal opinion as to your best option is to take them to local stores that sell wedding and prom dresses. (Not a big store like Macy’s – more of a store that specifically sells those types of dresses only, or a small store.) They often will buy and sell them, and give you a portion of the selling price. My sister just did this with her prom and 2 bridesmaids dresses, and they offered her 50% of whatever they sold for, which was a lot right around prom time. You could call or go into those stores personally. If you weren’t worried about making money, you could give them to good will or a charity. OR, another option is a second hand store – they would offer you a price for them (ususally about 20% of what you paid for it — if it’s $100 dress, you’d probably only get $20 for it) and then they sell it for about $30 at a used store.
