where can i see the live moon cam of the lunar bombing?
In a literal display of satellite TV, NASA will stream live footage of a rocket crashing into the moon Friday morning to try to prove the existence of vast hidden stores of water there. Here’s what will unfold: NASA will guide its Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite – LCROSS, for short – and release its Centaur booster rocket into the moon’s floor. That collision will kick up a cloud of debris, which will be photographed by LCROSS and measured minutes later when the satellite passes through plume. The hope is to show that the shadowed craters of the moon are actually holding huge deposits of water. You can watch a simulated preview of what should happen here: www.bit.ly/PQsmC. Starting at 6:15 a.m. Friday, you can watch the proceedings here: www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html. The actual impact should take place around 7:30 a.m. Eastern. N
