• For individuals who smoke in smoke free areas – an on the spot fine of $200 or a fine of up to $2,000 to be decided by a court. • For occupiers (that is people in charge of the premises) who take no action to prevent smoking in a smoke free area – an on the spot fine of $100 or a fine of up to $5,000 (for a body corporate) to be decided by a court. • For occupiers who fail to provide adequate no smoking signage where required to do so – an on the spot fine of $200 or a fine of up to $500 (individual) $2,000 (body corporate) to be decided by a court.
