Where can I purchase the white poppy instead of the red poppy?
I respect your views but why not just buy a red one and not wear it. Your money will then go to a very good cause and you dont have to wind people up by making a statement. Whether you agree with wars or not, you must agree that we as a society have a responsibility to look after those poor people who suffer in our name. This is not the time to make political or social points. Just be generous and human. Think of the guy from the Staffordshire Regiment in World War one who won the Victoria Cross for his bravery under fire. He was a stretcher bearer who refused to carry a gun because of his religious principles and conscience, but didnt shrink from doing acts of great courage under fire. I think that he would be contemptuous of people who made statements like wearing the white poppy.
