Where can I purchase a digital data recorder to use with OnTrack?
At OnTrack we have used a wide range of digital voice recorders as data recorders for use with the OnTrack software. Digital voice recorders use solid state memory to store data in a precise format and even inexpensive models are very accurate when used to store data. OnTrack does not sell digital data recorders because we ship OnTrack dyno systems around the world and we think that it is best that customers buy their data recorders locally so that they are covered by local warranty and local service. To be used as a digital data recorder you can select any digital voice recorder that has a microphone input port (usually 2.5mm or 3.5mm) and a headphone output port (usually 3.5mm). You only need the basic record and playback functions and 30 minutes of recording time is ample for a number of dyno runs along with optional audio comments for each run.
