Where can I present my ideas for new MTG cards & mechnics?
Currently, Magic the Gathering cannot accept card ideas from fans, and for legal reasons any email containing such ideas or suggestions is deleted as soon as the person reading it realizes that it contains such ideas. So sending an email with your ideas, no matter how dazzling, isn’t going to get you anything. And if they use an idea similar to yours, or even one of your exact cards, it is probably just a coincidence, and there is nothing you can legally or morally do since they don’t solicit such ideas or suggest that you send them. However, there is hope. They held a “great designer search” once in the past, during which they asked for fans to submit ideas and undergo a screening process in an attempt to find a new designer, and they have plans for a similar contest in the future.
