Where can I obtain seeds or plants of Salvia Divinorum?
Seeds are rare, the plant barely ever produces them (even when carefully hand pollinated),it usually just tips over and replants itself. You’ll be lucky to find them for sale anywhere, even so- Salvia seeds have a very low rate of germination and the seedlings rarely survive. Typically, one can expect no more than thirty percent of a batch of seeds to germinate, and only about seventy percent of those that germinate are likely to develop into healthy plants. It’s easier to purchase clippings from plants, or live plants online than it is locally. Rarely do nursuries carry Salvia Divinorum plants for aesthetic reasons. Occasionally you can find one at a Medicinal Herb Nursury or something of that nature. It is a form of sage so perhaps you could request they order one.
