Thanks to the FACT ACT, you are entitled to a FREE copy of your credit report from each of the big three credit bureaus once a year. To request your free credit report, I highly recommend that you go directly to the websites for TransUnioin, Equifax and Experian or to the only government approved site – annualcreditreportcom. Many scam sites claiming to offer free credit reports will actually force you to enroll in credit monitoring programs or other services in order to see your reports, but you may not realize it until the charges start to appear on your card.
