Where can I locate my Microsoft Windows 25 character product key on my computer?
It should be on the yellow sticker on the installation CD case, or on the bottom of your computer (yep, I just looked and there it is on mine!), if your computer came pre-installed with windows. If you can’t find it at all, you’ve pretty much lost the ability to re-install windows, so I hope you can find it. But if you are familiar with your computers registry, you can get it there, also. Try this: For older versions of Windows you can extract the product key from the Windows Registry. Click Start | Run and then type regedit and click OK. For Windows 95 and Windows 98, browse to this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ProductID For Windows NT 4.0, browse to this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProductID For all other guest Windows operating system product keys, contact Microsoft Product Support.
