Many advocacy and professional associations, as well as independent public health researchers, have published texts explaining the social determinants of health framework, and suggesting strategies to address these determinants. They include: • Social Determinants of Health, by Michael Marmot and Richard Wilkinson, Oxford University Press, 1999.
