CACDP is the main governing body for British Sign Language (BSL) accreditation and you can find your nearest centre by visiting the CACDP website or phone: 0191 383 1155 / minicom: 0191 383 7915. In recent years, the British Deaf Association (BDA), the only UK charity to be managed and led entirely by Deaf people, has also developed its own curriculum acredited through the Open College Network. You can find out more through the British Deaf Association website. During the first week of October each year they also encourage people to get on board with Learn to Sign Week. For more information you can phone: 02476 550936 / minicom: 02476 550393.
