As Sound of the City’s Zach Baron points out, an anticipated album that should be in the dictionary under “Leak” somehow managed to stay away from complete public consumption and dissemination until its release on iTunes today. Don’t forget that 50 percent of Sleigh Bells has South Florida roots — Derek Miller used to play guitar in local hardcore outfit Poison the Well. Paired with vocalist Alexis Krauss, this album bangs (and rings) as fiercely as anything M.I.A. put out under her own name — Treats is released via her N.E.E.T. Recordings.
