Shuhe Cun, the very first Naxi settlement, is an ideal village to visit to see life among the Naxi as it used to be. Water flows between homes built in the old architectural styles, and western-style shops & modern commerce is almost completely absent. Shuhe Cun is located northwest of town, very close to the city and easily reachable by taxi.
