In today’s time you will be able to learn over in Japan. The acceptance of you as a student is solely dependant on your character. If you want to get a head start you should take both Judo and Aikido as those arts derived from the Samurai. I would suggest you find an Aikido school that has a qualified sensei for Iai as well. Then you need to get the Hagakure, The Book of Five Rings, The Art of War, and The Tao Te Ching. Read these books and follow them as a lifestyle guide. You need to understand BUSHIDO. Being a Samurai is a code of ethics moreso than a martial art style. It’s a lifestyle, and a difficult one at that.
