Vaginoplasty is a technically demanding operation and is only carried out in various specialised centres in this country. It depends on why you require a vaginoplasty as to whether it is available on the NHS or not. The two common causes are: a) females who are born without a vagina – in which case this is almost certainly available on the NHS. b) if the vagina and the opening to the vagina have been damaged in childbirth leading to scarring, constriction of the opening and difficulty in intercourse.
