Where can I go to find a cheap meal, buy textbooks, etc.?
Off-campus there are many places throughout the Columbia University area where students can find affordable meals. Located directly across the street from the school on Broadway are the Pinnacle, where you can get pizza, hot food, drinks and sandwiches, and the Morton Williams Market, which sells deli items, soup, salads and general groceries. There are also several small restaurants near school, like Deluxe and also Tom’s, famous for being the diner featured on “Seinfeld.” Other places are up and down Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.
