Where can I get Prescription goggles ?
Sometimes you can get goggles that approximate your prescription from better sporting goods stores and swimming specialty shops. Here in Southern California the Sports Chalet chain usually carries this type of goggle. You select the lens magnification for each eye that comes closest to your actual prescription. I use this type of goggle and it works well for me. Last I looked it was about $25-$30 per lens plus the $25 for the goggles ‘frame’. So it was under $100 total. I purchased mine several years back so prices may have increased. In Oakland I don’t know of any specialty swim stores offhand…. you might want to use your old-fashioned yellow-pages and call around to see who carries these.
