Where can i get paraben free shampoo?
Depends how much you want to spend. Waitrose do a good range of organic shampoos that are paraben-free, and about £4 a bottle. It’s my current favourite. I’ve tried a lot of sls-free and paraben-free shampoos but have had bad experiences with some. For example, MOP (Modern Organic Products) shampoos say they are free of nasty chemicals but still contain SLS, which is said to be an irritant. The worst shampoo I ever tried was by Avalon Organics. It made my hair feel horrible. My hairdresser is really enthusiastic about organic hair products and she stocks a brand called Organic Care Systems. I tried their Aquaboost shampoo and conditioner and though it made my hair lovely at first, I eventually got dandruff. I think it was almost too rich and hydrating to use regularly for my hair type (straight brown, tendency to have greasy roots). Perhaps it’s a good one as an occasional treat for hair.
