Where can I get old Putnam exams and solutions?
Old Putnam exams can be found at many web sites, including this University of Nebraska (Lincoln) page for example. I have put on reserve, in the Barber Learning Centre, two books that collect old Putnam problems and solutions: • William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition: problems and solutions, 1938-1964, edited by Gleason, Greenwood, and Kelly (1980) • William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition: problems and solutions, 1965-1984, edited by Alexanderson, Klosinski, and Larson (1985) A third book, containing the more recent Putnams, is on order. This FAQ rules. The formatting of the web page is really great. That’s not a question, but thank you. I worked hard stealing all the formatting from the math department’s web pages. This FAQ sucks. It didn’t tell me what I want to know. That’s not a question, but thank you. Send me an email and I’ll try to answer your question.
