You have bought him a sports car, insurance is going to be high! Many 18 year old drivers, given sports cars, knowing they have put nothing into it, tend to drive the living bejeebers out of them, and insurance companies have the stats to back the high rates on them. Sorry, but you aren’t likely to find much less, unless you skimp on coverages, which would be a mistake. You are going to have to do a lot of shopping. Good luck.
