Where Can I Get Information On Appraisal Questions Regarding FHA Properties?
FHA’s website contains a wealth of information on appraising FHA properties and is an important resource for roster appraisers. To access this site go to www.hud.gov and click on “appraiseers” on the lower right hand corner. You will be able to access the FHA Roster of FHA approved Appraisers to determine your status, find out how to renew your approval or what the requirements are for placement on the roster. There are also appraiser FAQ’s and access to important resources to assist the FHA Appraiser as well as a free e-mail subscription service to be automatically notified of reference guide revisions and updates, Mortgsgee Letters, handbooks, FHA Mortgage limit increases, events and training, etc. You may also contact the Office of Single Family Housing, Appraisal Branch, at 202 708-2121 or fax 202 401-0416.
