Local governments may promulgate local regulations for plumbing but these requirements are subject to the provisions of the Illinois Plumbing Code.The code is available by calling the Plumbing Program at 217/524-0791. The Department charges $40.00 for a hard copy of the Illinois Plumbing Code. The rules are also available at www.idph.state.il.us/rulesregs/77-0890.
