Where can I get ethically sound food supplements?

One habit I’ve gotten into is emailing or calling companies to ask about any ingredients that seem suspect to me. For example, if a product contains calcium caseinate or sodium caseinate or other ingredients that sometimes have hidden monosodium glutamate in them, I call or email and ask if theirs has hidden msg. A good rule of thumb for me is to stick with companies that have been around since before organic was cool. Here lately, even Walmart has organic brands but how organic are they really? A company providing organic supplements that has been around for at least 15 years will probably have information on their website about their commercial and manufacturing practices. Research and call about anything you are unsure of, regarding the product line.
