I had a lexmark printer and changed it simply because of the cartridge prices. Unfortunately Lexmark and some other makers “chip” the cartridges so they retain the ink level memory even when refilled. You can get a re setter for some of the others but I’ve never found one for the lexmark. If you do get them refilled make sure to ask if the chip has been re set and if buying a new printer avoid those that have been chipped.
