Where can I get an indication of a repair shops reputation?
A good place to start is the BBB, or Better Business Bureau. They keep statistics on any people that have called them with a complaint about a business. Not every business will have a stellar reputation with no recorded complaints, but it is important to note how many unresolved complaints the business has. A complaint gives the business an opportunity to resolve the issue with the customer, and as long as that is done to the customer’s satisfaction, doesn’t reflect badly on the business. At Mike’s Quality Car Care, we have never had a complaint registered with the BBB. Another place to research is the affiliations the repair shop belongs to, such as AAA Approved Auto Repair, or NAPA Autocare Center. They have records of the facility’s Customer Satisfaction Index, and you can use that as an indication of how happy the customers are with the repair shop.
