I have the NUS Extra and I find that I can get discounts in other places where I cannot with the ordinary one. With the NUS extra you can use it in Subway , Matalan, Amazon. I have just bought a book from amazon and used my NUS Extra card and got a discount of 10% off my order. If you are going to need books and you have to buy them invest in a NUS Extra card it is well worth it. Hope this has been of some help.
