Where can I get a Pokemon Gold ROM for the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition calculator for free?
First of all, no Texas Instruments calculator can natively support a ROM image of any Gameboy game through the TI-OS. And yes, you must have TI-Boy to emulate a Gameboy game. TI-Boy is fairly new. Version Alpha 0.02 came out only a few months ago, so at the moment it supports a very small amount of games (which includes Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Tetris, and certain Pokemon versions). Theoretically, the ROM should work. There is no ROM just for the TI-84 Plus calculator (or any calculator for that matter), because the ROM is designed for the Gameboy. Therefore, TI-Boy emulates the game, just as your computer would. There’s currently a known bug for TI-84 Plus (SE) calculators. Generally if the calculator was bought within two years, then it’s too new. TI seems to have made a small hardware change during that time, which is probably the cause of these errors.
