try ebay, the item is called: commodore 1531 mouse, it can be used as a joystick if before turning on the computer you press and hold the left mouse button while turning on your computer, it looks a lot like the mouse that came with the commodore amiga, i have 2 and they work like a charm, in the vic 20 you have to program your own software to use it as for i remember there is no software that used it nativly on the vic20, or use it as a joystick, you can also use it with geos on the c64 and on the c128
