Where can I get a list of new and existing businesses in Minnesota?
All newly-incorporated businesses are required to register with the Minnesota Secretary of State. The Secretary of State’s office maintains a database of all businesses and can print out all new businesses for a fee. To request a list of new businesses, call 651-297-9100; for information about a particular business or to request a search of its database, call 651-296-2803. For existing businesses, most libraries maintain several Minnesota business directories and copies of a manufacturing directory may be purchased from the Minnesota Bookstore (phone: 651-297-3000). Libraries can also search online business databases upon request and produce business lists for a fee.
