My goodness…! The picture you are mentioning in your original question IS in the canton of Ticino! It’s easy to recognize for a Swiss because of its Italian styled clock tower (Italian architects had a great influence onto the Southern Swiss style of building houses). So you actually simply want to see beautiful scenery. The Ticiono is full of it! Just miss out towns like Lugano, Bellinzona or Locarno – all the small valleyes around these towns are virtually overloaded with beauty.
