Where can I get a driver for a Lite-on corp DVD-ROM Drive?
hi luke as JG has stated dvd and cd-roms dont require drivers when used in windows(all versions),however you can get firmware updates firmware updates will update the cd rom to a later version, this will improve various features of the dvd-rom drive however by the sounds of it all you need to do is run a “dvd/cd lens cleaner” through your drive, this will clean the drive lens whcih i think is causing your problems, just follow the instructions on the disk and after it has finished try the dvd-rom again note:never manually clean a cd/dvd lens, touching the lens will permanently damage it also try going to device manager and uninstalling the drive from there, reboot the pc and windows will then reinstall the drivers and firmware for your dvd-rom,this sometimes does the trick and may be all you need to do any problems let me know good luck luke !
