but this is my idea of SOCK YARN!!! http://www.simplysockyarn.com/servlet/Categories?category=SALE+YARNS%21&searchpath=17374&start=31&total=86 (drooling) I don’t recommend shopping here seriously, they are a bit insane price-wise, but it is reallly fun to look. Their patterns are nice. My local ’yarn boutique’ (never thought of it that way…now I am going to feel self-conscious about going in…) has reasonable selections. They also have the designer, hand-painted alpaca wool, so I just don’t go into that room. It may be worth looking, if you are not (yet) a yarn hoarder. My experience with Michael’s and etc is that they do seasonal things with colors and yarns which don’t always have anything to do with what I want to make. Try KnitPicks online; they have good sales.
