Where can i find uni text books cheap?
If you have a John Smith academic bookshop near you, check it out as they do second-hand books which they buy from students that no longer need them. You may find your university has one on campus. But to be honest- you don’t need to buy all the books they tell you to get. Just buy or or two – any decent university will have several copies in their library, provided you beat the rest of your cohort in getting them. Academics like giving you long reading lists, but we don’t expect you to read them all – though that would be nice – its not necessary, rather, most academics would rather you read a few of their suggested books, and then used your initiative to find other books in the field. Unlike school/college, the concept of a model-answer doesn’t exist in university, you are expected to go out, find out new things, and be different. That’s the point of university – otherwise everyone is just a clone of their lecturers.
