My mom had some odd ideas about “lullaby” songs. lol She was born in 1920 & was the baby of 16! One song I have figured out & that was The Prisoner’s song. This other one has had me baffled for years. I have no idea of the name…but the lyrics I remember were something about a mother going upstairs to her room & plunging a knife into her snow white breast…and the daughter going up to find her & realizing that her poor mother was dead. When I grew up my mom & I would laugh because I would tease her about the horribly sad songs she would sing to me & how they would always make me cry. My mom passed away in 2000 & I would give anything to hear her sing that song again. I hope this rings a bell with you. Thank you so much for trying.
