Where can I find the social studies Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)?
The Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Chapter 113 outlines the social studies TEKS, which include strands of history, geography, economics, citizenship, culture, science, technology, and society, in addition to social studies skills. TAC Chapter 118 outlines the criteria for economics at the high school level. Both Chapter 113 and Chapter 118 can be found on the TEA web site at the following link: www.tea.state.tx.us/rules/tac/index.html.
