Where can I find the rules for being a soccer referee?
Every league has a different precise set of rules. What league are you looking for? If you are a beginning official, a good place to start is AYSO and youth leagues. For AYSO, see the sources below to access the Referee page. Most places require you join some sort of organization or union, but this is not a universal custom. I would recommend you first visit your local league and talk to current officials. Ask them how they started, what are the steps. I could give you a list of how to become an official, but there’s no guarantee any strict set of guidelines will work for everyone.
