Where can I find the recipe to prepare Fried Oreos?
Fried Oreos are a fairly new treat on the carnival/county fair circuit. They make a nice addition to funnel cakes, corn dogs and other All-American, artery-clogging treats. You can still enjoy this tasty treat even the middle of winter, though, with not a fair or festival in sight, just reading on to learn this make-it-yourself recipe. Your arteries may not thank you, but your taste buds will! Step 1 Measure dry pancake mix into large bowl. Crack egg, stir into mix. Step 2 Slowly add one cup of milk a little at a time, stirring after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp. vegetable oil. Step 3 Pour oil into deep fryer up to fill line. If using a saucepan, pour in enough oil to cover the Oreos completely and allow them to float freely. Heat the oil to 375 degrees. Step 4 Dip the Oreos in the batter, turning to make sure they are completely coated. Do not let them soak in the batter for too long or they may get soggy and fall apart when you try to fry them.. Step 5 Fry the Oreos in small batches
Fried Oreos have been such a hit lately that many people young and old want to know how it is made. The whole process just takes 5 steps. 20pcs. of Oreos 1 cup of pancake flour 1 cup of milk 1 egg cooking oil deep frier or saucepan, though a shallow pan will do but not as well. *optional: powdered sugar Step 1: Combine milk, pancake flour, and egg in a bowl. Add two tablespoons of cooking oil. Mix until smooth texture is achieved. Step 2: Fill the deep frier with cooking oil enough to cover all the Oreos. If a frying pan is used, put enough cooking oil so that at least half of an Oreo is submerged. Step 3: Cover the Oreos with the batter (best done when the frier or pan is still heating up) Step 4: Fry Oreos until golden brown. Leave enough allowance for each Oreo cookie so that they won’t stick to other cookies when frying. Step 5: Put the Fried Oreos at a basket with paper towel so that the oil will be absorbed.
