Where can I find the computer-based BCUT radio operator course?
The first thing to do is to ask your unit DC about it. It is part of your unit DC’s job to provide you with either the training or information on where to get the training. If your unit DC doesn’t know, your unit doesn’t have a DC, or you ARE the unit DC and don’t know the next step is to contact your group DC. All of the group DCs have been given this information. Now, if you are a group DC, and don’t know where to get this Powerpoint presentation (your group CC should have already given you a copy on a CD), here is the URL: http://meteora.ucsd.edu/weather/work/CAWg_BCUT_Audio_200401.ppt But, be warned! This is a large file (about 58 MBytes). If you try to get it over a phone line, your computer and phone line could be tied up for a week. In addition, the host meteora.ucsd.edu is not long for this world and will disappear sometime in the future. The exact date is unknown, but don’t wait too long. If you’re not a DC, can you still download the presentation and look at it? Sure you can.
