You might want to start by finding out exactly what the legal position is. In the United Kingdom (where I assume you are from), prostitution is not illegal. It is activities surrounding it which are illegal, such as soliciting (offering sex for money) and living off immoral earnings (brothel-keeping). I would be surprised if you were able to find reliable statistics relevant to your arguement. Statistics from places where brothels are permitted are (arguably) unreliable, because they also tend more closely to monitor the health and wellbeing of prostitutes, whereas when such activities are pushed underground, there is no monitoring and those involved will be unlikely to take part in any survey. In addition to Nevada, prostitution is also legal is a number of other places in Europe and Australia.
