Where can i find someone that can read ancient chineese symbols i can send photos of the symbols?
There are several ways, look up either “learn Chinese” courses in your community and ask to speak with the teacher and show them the symbols, call a reference librarian and they will be able to find someone who is an expert in ancient Chinese symbols and then write them directly if they give their university address or write them care of their book’s publishers. I have done this and a surprising number of authors will write you back. Also a lot of Chinese people teach Chinese calligraphy classes that artists take so they use the technique in their paintings. Find a class and show the symbols to the teacher, they probably know what they mean. I’d say send them to the Chinese embassy. Other embassies will help you to answer questions about their culture and language, but the Chinese embassy(ies) can be either extremely helpful or user hostile, depending who you get on the phone.
