I suppose that “information on mining” could be a broad topic, but let me give you some tangents that you could go with this. Wikipedia is a good resource yes as it gives you information on the History of mining but is limited to Europe and North America Mainly emphasizing on the US and the UK. Wikipedia also gives information on the Mining Procedure, Steps of process, Techniques, Extractive metallurgy, Environmental effects, Mining industry, Employment, Safety, Machinery, Abandoned mines, and mining Records. The cool thing about wikipedia is you get plenty of references, citations, a bibliography, and many external links.
