Where can I find out about religious services and organizations for Geneseo students?
The College Union & Activities Office, in MacVittie College Union Room 321 can provide you with information about on-campus student religious organizations, including Hillel, the Jewish Student Union, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Newman Community, and Steps of Faith. There are several churches within walking distance of campus, including Catholic, Episcopalian, Presbyterian, and Baptist; your Resident Assistant or Hall Director may know of others in the area. The Interfaith Center, located at 11 Franklin Street (585 243-1460), is very close to the North Village residence halls. It is also a great resource for information on religious services and events. Some services are held at the Interfaith Center, including mid-week Mass for the Newman community, Protestant services on Wednesdays through Calvary Chapel, and Shabbat services sponsored by Hillel.
