It was a perfect day in Atlanta on Sunday at the Nike Combine but there was a ‘storm’ brewing. The physically-impressive running back, Storm Johnson (Loganville, Ga.), was one of the many outstanding athletes at James R. Hallford Stadium. Nearly 1200 high school athletes took part and the performances got better and better as the day went on. It was a very strong overall performance by both the skilled players and the men in the trenches; one of the very best combines of the year. Standouts Storm Johnson, RB, Junior, Loganville, Ga. ESPN.com has an excellent section on college football recruiting. You just need to go to the “other sports” tab at the top of the screen, then go to college football, and then recruiting. Most sports-oriented web pages will also have sections such as this, but ESPNs provides a lot of detail. You can learn about the recruiting for particular schools, by region, by conference, or by player. Their content is updated frequently and includes scouting information. ESPN’s page, like most others, tends to focus heavily upon the larger conferences, but information is given about every school in Division I. Sources: http://insider.espn.go.
Both ESPN (espn.go.com) and Yahoo Sports (sports.yahoo.com) both offer information on the college recruiting scene. The content for Yahoo Sports comes from rivals.com. Sources: http://insider.espn.go.
