Where can i find neat math stuff to decorate my math classroom boards?
I would go to the library and check out some of the books pertaining to math. Make copies and enlarge them of anything you have picked out. You did not say what grade you teach – if it is 5th or 6th, have a pre-schooler draw some figures for you on the small chalk-boards that you can find at craft stores. You could draw some figures too. You could also use the beads like the orientals use. Find the different ways the other countries do math, draw the numbers. Have 1 thru 10 done in those languages and have the class compare them, someday have a “national numbers day” and incorporate them into the whole day. Perhaps you have different nationalities in your class already. Even have the Chinese or Japanese draw the letters with their pen and ink. Yes, you can teach the children how to write numbers in calligraphy, or fancy writing. Go for it, teach!
