Where can I find more detailed information about the requirements under the Vetting and Barring Scheme?
Generic guidance on the Vetting and Barring Scheme was published by the Home Office (19 March 2010). This will be subject to amendment once the recommendations from the Government’s review are known. Guidance on duty to make referrals and ISA decision making processes can be found on the ISA website. Updates on guidance will be published through the NHS Workforce Bulletin at the earliest opportunity. Employers are strongly recommended to register themselves to receive the ISA’s newsletter for latest updates, further details can be found on the ISA website.
