Where Can I Find Medical Lab Technician Training in Dallas?
El Centro College, one of seven institutions in the Dallas County Community College District, is the only school in Dallas where students receive Medical Lab Technician training. The program that provides this training leads to an Associate in Applied Sciences in Medical Lab Technology. Prerequisites for this 6-semester, 72-credit degree program include anatomy and physiology, composition and successfully passing a pre-entrance assessment test. The curriculum consists of didactic and clinical training in liberal arts, science and technical courses. Training covers subject matter that includes general chemistry, basic health profession skills, pathophysiology, pharmacology, microbiology hematology, immunohematology, serology, psychology, college algebra, fundamentals of public speaking and fine arts.
