All NBA players are members of the National Basketball Players Association, a labor organization. The association works closely with the NBA to negotiate player salaries, benefits, and working conditions. All players are covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, or CBA, a document that is updated periodically. The current CBA covers players until 2011.
